⤬ brief history: circus kid (ex-flying graysons), parents got killed when mafia boss Tony Zucco burned the cords on their trapeze to extort money from the circus. they fell to their deaths in front of him during a show that Bruce Wayne was watching. Wayne takes Dick as his legal ward then trains him to become the first Robin, his sidekick. angry with the way Bruce harnessed his loss to mould him into a weapon, Dick leaves, starts the Titans, loses the Titans, starts it again, then becomes Nightwing.

characterization notes: on titans vs comics:
⤬ this is the Titans TV version of Dick Grayson. in the beginning of Titans, we see a very angry, dark version of Dick Grayson, who lightens up through the seasons. at the canon point at which I take Dick, he’s accepted that he needs people around him to thrive, and has some of the goofiness and levity that his comics counterpoint has, but his personality is still more stoic. at his worst, he can still be angry and dark, but at his best, he’s caring, supportive, and warm, though nowhere near the level of cheekiness of in the comics.

⤬ on his relationship to his adopted family, know that in Titans, Bruce killed the Joker after the Joker killed Jason Todd and then quit being Batman, so Dick will approach fellow batfam members with this experience. he has generally come to terms with how he was raised, has forgiven a lot of what Bruce has done, and, as an older Dick Grayson, is better adjusted. THAT SAID, the daddy issues are still very much there, and anything Bruce related still guarantees very mixed emotions.

yes, he’s not big on initiating hugs unless he’s close to your character, but he won’t shove anyone away if they try for one

he has no qualms about flirting and is comfortable with his own sexuality. he’ll catch onto it right away. if he wants something from your character, he’ll exploit it. if he’s sincerely interested, he’ll flirt back. if he’s not into it, he’ll gracefully brush it off.

yes,but he warned he will fight back. i love me a good fight scene. im chill with the manhandling too, as long as it’s within reason. Dick is a fighter through and through, with his words and his fists. im always happy to write a nightwing fight scene too. negative & mixed cr is always welcome.

yes, he gets injured ALL the time, it’s a great plot device. just don’t chop off his limbs please.

he has pretty good resistance to it, but he’s only human, so yes.

pretty open when it comes to shippage, both m/m and m/f. 18+ characters only. he has a soft spot for redheads and dangerous people. he’s much more likely to fall for an emotional connection (either he’s impressed with the way your character fights or admires their morals etc) than anything purely physical, though he doesn’t know how to maintain a serious, committed relationship. he has a LOT on his plate.
